Fish Rock | South West Rocks This is not a casual dive trip with a camera. This is a focused, small-group underwater photography workshop led by internationally respected photographer Nicolas Remy, designed for divers who want measurable improvement in their wide-angle underwater imagery. Timed around the Full Moon, this 4-day experience is built to maximise light, animal activity, and dramatic underwater conditions at one of Australia’s most iconic dive sites—Fish Rock—with additional opportunities to dive the lesser-known Green Island when conditions allow. WHAT TO EXPECT You’ll spend four full days diving, shooting, reviewing, refining, and reshooting—guided by Nicolas at every stage. The learning starts before you arrive, so once you’re on location, the focus is entirely on execution and improvement, not theory. You’ll dive twice daily at Fish Rock’s world-class sites, with the option of a third dive at Green Island. Evenings are dedicated to structured photo reviews, editing sessions, and constructive critique—where real improvement happens. Group size is capped at 8 photographers, ensuring individual attention without slowing the pace. ITINERARY OVERVIEW: - 2 weeks prior: Private online workshop (2 hours) covering location briefing, photo opportunities, techniques, and gear selection - Thursday 22 October (evening): Arrival in South West Rocks, check-in, optional group dinner - Friday–Monday (23–26 October): - 2 dives per day at Fish Rock (Optional third dive at Green Island (weather permitting)) - Evening photo reviews and editing sessions (Fri–Sun) - Monday evening: Departure with a full portfolio and refined skill set INCLUSIONS: - Private online photography briefing (recorded for rewatching) - 4 nights accommodation at Bronte By The Beach Apartments (twin share) - 2 guided dives per day (tanks & weights included) - Free Nitrox - 11L tanks standard (15L available on request) EXCLUSIONS: - Transport to/from South West Rocks - Meals and drinks ADD-ONS: - Additional dives (up to 1 per day, A$60 per dive) - Dive gear (rentals available) - Camera equipment - Professional Nikon DSLR + Nauticam setup available: A$200/day REQUIREMENTS: - Advanced certification (30m) - Nitrox certified - Strong buoyancy and situational awareness expected - Experience with wide-angle photography strongly recommended
