At Fishrock Dive Centre in South West Rocks, NSW, our experienced team provides a wide range of dive services and unique tours designed for individuals, groups, and anyone seeking something truly different. Our adventures are supported by a 12-metre purpose-built dive boat, complete with cabin toilet, warm shower, spacious deck, and a 5-metre high-speed RIB tender. These facilities allow us to access a variety of dive sites and run trips tailored to specific activities across South West Rocks and the Mid North Coast of New South Wales.
We also run exclusive organised tours and events, often timed with moon cycles and seasonal marine life aggregations. Year-Round Marine Encounters
Thanks to Fish Rock’s location on the edge of the East Australian Current, our marine environment changes dramatically with the seasons.
March–May (Warm Waters)
Tropical species such as leopard sharks and even the occasional manta ray.
Summer – Shark Season
Thermoclines and current mixing attract an incredible variety of sharks — from spinner sharks, Galapagos, bull sharks, hammerheads, grey nurse sharks, and even the occasional great white. It’s no wonder divers call it “Shark City.”
Winter – Grey Nurse & Whales
Hundreds of grey nurse sharks gather, and migrating humpback whales are frequently seen on our trips — sometimes even interacting safely with divers in the water.
